We visit the Thunderbird Hotel often, and will continue to do so! Everyone is so friendly and courteous. We are treated GREAT by the staff. Never any problems. Location is great. Parking is great. Hotel is well maintained. Check in and check out is simple. Changing room with shower if you arrive early or stay late. I am already planning another trip to see the great people at The Thunderbird Hotel. Owner/Manager is a awesome person and takes great care of his customers!

This is a great hotel with very friendly staff. This is our second year staying there and the maintaince man and our housekeeper remembered us from the previous year. My family loves staying here because of how friendly the staff is, the location to the beach and the boardwalk. We love the pool, it is cleaned everynight and it is warm. The price is great since you are not at the beach to stay in your room all day. We were surprised this year that some things have been upgraded and were very pleased. This is the hotel that we will be going to from here on out due to the location and how friendly the staff is.

My family and I vacation in Ocean city every year and were never satisfied with our past stays in other motels until now. A friend recommended the Thunderbird Beach motel to me and was the best recommendation ever! First we were greeted by a friendly staff that were pleasant enough to recommend new restaurants and things to do in the area, which was very helpful. Many motels when entering the room disappointed me but here the room was very clean and cozy. The location was also convenient steps away from the ocean; therefore we didn’t have to cross any streets to get to it. Parking was also not an issue, and the pool was great! I would definitely recommend this property to any family or person visiting the resort.

Thunderbird is a great place to get away for a day or more. The staff is very friendly. Brenda from housekeeping came right up to me and introduced herself and was very friendly stating all I had to do was ask and she would assist me. Matt was also a staff member working there and he was very helpful with directions and assistance with my bicycle that had a flat tire. He directed me to a shop that would help me. Both Brenda and Matt went out of their way to make my stay memorable. I would definitely stay at the Thunderbird again.

We stay here every year with our family and absolutely love the Thunderbird. The location is just perfect for us to get to all our favorite spots! The management always goes above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. We would highly recommend this motel to anyone looking for an affordable, clean, comfortable place to relax in OC!!

the people were very professional and well mannered. the rooms are much better then last year with new king size beds much better now. i have been comming to this hotel for many years and every year i am suprised when i see just how much the update the rooms. the new Manager Austin was very helpful and quite professional. what a great change from many years ago.

We just returned from a trip to OC and loved this motel.Very nice value.It has a great pool and a nice location just within steps of the beach.Across the street are several restaurants and Jolly Rogers. No noise from the street as you are at the end of the one way street. The room was nice and clean with 4 pillows to a bed.Has a microwave and a larger frig that will hold a lot.There are families with children so there will be kid noise. Will stay here again!!

My partner and I spent the week there with our 2 boys and found the Thunderbird a fantastic value. Although not directly on the boardwalk, it is a short walk It is very close to the beach, the water park and amusement park. Our room was clean, and the staff was very friendly. There were a few loud moments with other guests doing some drinking, but nothing that would keep us from returning. I especially want to thank the cleaning staff. They always were very friendly and helpful. Our kids loved engaging them in conversation every morning and looked forward to their friendly hello. I’m sure there are nicer places to stay in OC, but for the money, you can’t beat this motel! We will be back!

Last weekend my family were able to take a quick trip to Ocean City. Initially i found the Thunderbird motel’s prices and accommodations to be great! I have to admit I was skeptical of what we were getting for such a great price. On arrival the front desk staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful. Or room was very clean, well kept, and modernly updated. Our children loved having the pool just outside the room and enjoyed the short walk to the beach. With amenities like a flat screen TV, free coffee in the lobby 24 hrs, nearby ice/soda machines, friendly staff, and great prices i would recommend this motel to anyone!

We had the pleasure of staying at the Thunderbird Beach Motel in Ocean City over Mother’s Day weekend 2012. Check-in was a breeze and the room was was clean and comfortable with a refrigerator, microwave, A/C and flat-screen TV. There were four of us and there was plenty of hot water even with back-to-back showers. The motel has a pool and on-site parking. Austin Purnell and his staff are friendly, helpful and professional. The location of the Thunderbird is wonderful: half block from the beach, easy walking distance to restaurants, stores, and amusement park. If you are looking for a good, family-friendly, reasonable priced motel this is the one you are looking for!
